Profile label styles Line adjustments

I am trying to create a profile label style that will create an adjustable line like the red label line below for the start and end labels. Is there way to create a style that does this? I would rather not have to create a line and text to do it if possible.

Yes, you can create a staggered label style.  We've used this repeatedly for our Structure labels in profile views.  It is not 'adjustable' on the fly.  In the style editor - we created a .5" fixed line at 90 degree angle, and then continued our line.  I've attached a few screenshots to show you how we have our style setup - Different component name using the "Line" component function.  This is the only way I found to do it.  When we need to stagger, we just set one structure style to "STAG LT" or "STAG RT".

If you select the grip (attachment point) and slide it left or right, it will give you "grips" along the extension lines that you can add to and "modify on the fly."  Somehow managed to figure this out in and get my labels set up in 2010 and can't remember how I did it.  Modify the dragged state - arrow head size - 0, and text height, etc.  and then set to as composed to get the angle at 90 degrees - that was set on layout tab.
