Problems importing a profile to another drawing

Hi everyone, 

I've got a question. I've been trying to import a LandXML profile from a drawing to another. it's the same drawing but it has been worked by two different people and now we want to compare this 2 profiles in the same chart. i read i can do it exporting one profile and loading in the drawing i have but it happened two things when I tried, the first one was a fatal error and the second one the profile chart disappeared from the drawing. 

Please Help!

Hi,

Instead of using the Landxml export you could create a datashortcut and add is to the second drawing.

There you can superimpose it onto any profileview you want.

I tried but I noticed We worked in different version of CIVIL 3D. I worked in 2017 and My partners work in 2016 and we need to do it in the 2016 version because our clients has that version.

Is there anyway to import profiles with out having to do the data shortcut?

We work on a server and data shortcuts don't want to work then.
