Problem with text and label sizes while trying to plot

 Good afternoon everyone,

I am stuck in a very annoying problem, which I have tried to fix for a long time! I have read many posts on internet and on Autodesk's forum, but nothing.

You all may have seen people complaining about this problem. I am developing a roadway project in Civil3D; and I have created my surface, horizontal and vertical alignments, my assembly, and my section views. Now, I just have to plot them all; however, my labels are too big, and I try to edit every single thing to make them smaller, but I haven't succeed.

I have to plot my roadway plan and my profile plan in 1:2000, and my section views in 1:200, in an A3 format. I am using metric version. While using the "Model" space, everything is ok, as you can see as follows.

However, when I change to layout space, everything is messed up. All labels and texts! I have read many posts, and I can't fix it. Next image shows how it looks like. If anyone could help me, I would be very grateful!

Obs: you can see the scale for the layout is 0.0000000.... If I change to 1:200, or 1:2000, everything disappear, because everything is so huge that not even show up on layout.

Wish you all the best.

set the model space annotation scale as desired (bottom right corner) to check how your labels look. Adjust text height in the label style as required to achieve desired look.

then in paperspace, unlock viewport, scroll to roughly zoom to the profile view, then set the viewport scale (Zoom> 1/xp, x = scale) same as the annotation scale from earlier and regen.

One other thing to check is in plot or page setup tab, check the plot scale. should be 1"=1' for imperial and 1mm=1m for metric.

Your band style text size needs to be sized based on your model space scale. It disappears because it's to large or way to small when viewed in paper space. I would double check the size in the band style.  Set the text size for model space, it will then Resize based on paper space viewport scale.

I have also found that doing a Regen forces it to resize.

Thank you! Do you believe that the "regen" command fixed the problem? I have used it before; however, now I used about 5 to 6 times to solve it. I zoomed in, then used regen, zoomed in again, then regen, up until everything appear and the scale increase to an acceptable value.

I believe the solution is much simpler than I thought!

Thank you very much again! Have a good day.

Thank you. I tried, but using the command "regen" consecutively, while zooming in, seem to be my solution. That looks silly, but it actually worked! Thanks for being helpful.

Try doing a, regenall, see if that will work to avoid multiple regens
