Problem with Reports

I have upgraded to Civil 3D 2023 and I'm now having trouble using Reports Manager (Toolbox) to generate Excel reports. I know this has come up in previous discussions, but I wonder if there are any updates. Both Civil 3D and Excel are fully up to date. I can create a report to HTML, but that isn't what I need.

Hi, @Robplatt!

I have here Civil 3D 2022 and 2023, and both have this issue with reports in Excel. I usually generate the report in HTML, open it, control + A to select everything, copy and paste it in cell A1 in Excel. From this point, I have some macros and formulas in Excel to do the job. Perhaps this workflow helps you.

Cheers,

@Matheus-Lima

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve also been using HTML as a way to get around it, or Select all, copy and paste from Project Explorer.

The problem is that this doesn’t actually “fix” the issue.

Well - hopefully AutoDesk will take note and send out an update …….

Cheers.

Hi again.

I posted this to Autodesk and they tried to replicate the problem using my data. They couldn’t replicate it so they suggested I should try to run a repair on Office 365, and/or do a clean reinstall of Civil 3D. I did the Office 365 repair process and now the problem has vanished.

Worth an try if anyone has the same issue.
