Preventing AutoCAD from plotting hidden objects

  1. Hello good people, I'm having this issue of civil 3d printing hidden objects in the plan view of my drawing, I'm having plan and profile sheets that I've published and I see the output having hidden objects that I don't want to appear in the printout, when I plot the single sheets , the hidden objects don't appear, but when i select multiple sheets to publish, the final pdf has hidden objects, what could be the issue, I'll really appreciate your responses, thanks

How are the objects "hidden"? Are they on a frozen/off layer? Are they on a layer set to "no plot"? Are they on a layer that the plot style table doesn't plot? More information is needed to help you out here.

IF YOU HAVE ISSUE BETWEEN SINGLE SHEET PLOT AND MULTIPLE SHEET PLOT

WOULD YOU PLEASE CHECK THE PLOT STYLE USE IN THE PROCESS

THIS MEANS THE MULTI-PLOT STYLE SHOULD MATCH THE PLOT STYLE USED IN THE PUBLISHING OF SINGLE-SHEET

ALSO I RECOMMEND TO FOLLOW (BrianHailey) INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE.

THANKS,

as haliey said.

Putting unwanted printing layer on no plot option would be the simplest solution

Thanks a lot for your response Brian, ok the items are on Normal layers that are on and not off, for example I have objects like sample cross sections from specific sample lines that I was adding culverts on, objects like data table showing inlet , centerline and outlets of the culvert inverts at those sample line cross sections, even data like topo points that were used to generate the surface are also showing up in published pdf if I select multiple sheets, however, if I print single sheets, these items that I hide are not appearing in the single pdfs, so I don't know what settings I could be missing in the publishing of multiple sheets into single pdf

Ok I have checked the single plot dialogue settings, which settings should be enabled in the publishing option when selecting multiple sheets to print into one pdf, because the publishing option dialogue box doesn't really have a lot of settings to customize, if I print single sheets, the hidden objects dont appear, but if I publish multiple sheets into a single pdf, the hidden objects are appearing

make sure the symbol is like that and it will not print at all.

regardless of you doing batch print or single print or to pdf

Are these items on layers that are Off or Frozen, set to No Plot or are you using the HIDEOBJECTS command?

BTW. If you click on the image that appears blurry. It should open up a larger version of the image.

Do you have AutoCAD and Civil 3D installed on your machine? We ran into this issue after deploying our 2024 installs recently. If you have both programs installed, when you publish from Civil 3D, it actually uses AutoCAD to do the publishing. Make sure your AutoCAD is set up with the search paths to the correct plot style tables.
