I am trying to create a label for my Water main's fittings that looks like the attached. 

I created two separate text components and underlined the first one, and attached the second text component to the first text component. 

Is there a way to set the leader's landing length so that it meets the end of my text on the top line? 

Also when I underline, the line seem uneven when it gets to the plus and minus signs... any workarounds?

Hours later, I think I figured out how to create the call-out with the Label Style. However, I still have a problem. The line under my first text line shows correctly on one side (when my text is on right side) and not in line with the leader when the call-out is on the right side of the pipeline.. please see attached: 

Any idea why? I have also attached my new settings for the label I created.  

 * The reference text is the Watermain alignment that im reading the station and offset from.

Hi great question! Its a great topic for examining, label styles. Do you have a file with the objects and styles you would like to modify? Do you have an image that demonstrates what you are wanting to accomplish? I look forward to helping out with this.

Hi there, I didn't forget about you, I have spent a few hours on this trying to get your label style to reflect as you have shown.

Based upon the criteria I cannot figure out how to make it a dynamic behavior as the Standard label style does without you having two styles one for each direction of dragged state (Right vs Left). That is the best overall answer at this tie is to have two styles one for each condition. The delineating factor I see is the fixed length of the line below the insertion point by station variable makes it so that the leader means to maintain its connection.

The workaround in this case (of course you know this) separate from having two styles, is to move the leader to the other side after dragging it accross. I had hoped to find a better way to do this as the standard style does, but with the line below the STA. XX+XX it makes it difficult. I am sure there is a way, and I will keep working on it. Someone else in the forums here may have some input on creating this label style.

Thanks Copper. 

I do not want to move the leader to the other side after dragging it across.  I think I have found a solution to this problem. 

I made a child of the same leader that I had created for the left side and I modified it for the right side. It did not take too long. Then I made a copy of each and changed the text for other fittings such as "Tees and Gate Valves" and modified the leader lengths a location a little more. It is not a perfect solution and it takes a bit of time but I have a template set up now. I attached my file for others use.
