Polyline Grip Function Remove Vertex Works Once

I am using Civil 3D 2018 and for some reason when I select a vertex and remove it I can't seem to select another vertex on the polyline without deselecting the polyline first and then reselecting. I hover over a vertex and it only shows me the distance between it and the next vertex. There is no drop down menu to delete the vertex.

You need to install all the civil and map updates for 2018.  You can read more about it HERE

Hi LarryS23 ,

Try to select polyline and go to Modify tab under Edit Geometry select Delete PI. On polyline will appear green triangle over each vertex and simply just clicking to delete vertex. I hope this can currently help you.
