Point Cloud in Civil C3D

Hi all,

Little question on point cloud management in Civil:

Point Cloud limit on Civil is about 1.5M points, how Civil manage a Point Cloud which contain 220M points.

-Points selection, if yes, on which criterias?

-Or random?

Hi,

Thanks for your first start. Neither do I, it's for one of my client and my personnal interest...

Using this method, considering max size is 2M (not 1.5M), means my client must cut his 220M in 110 clouds, generate 110 surfaces and paste them...

Anyone Else?

Is your data a CSV file? Then you can make a Point File Format that Samples every tenth point. Like this:
