PIPE STYLE HATCH

i'm trying to get my pipe style to match the attached image. the outside walls are easy. the hatch in the middle is what i'm having trouble with. right now the thick dashed line is just a polyline with a width that is drawn separately but i want it to be part of the style. i can't seem to apply a width to the pipe centerline and i don't have a hatch that matches what i want. any suggestions?

Hi @nostupidquestions,  on the Plan tab of the pipe style in the lower right under Pipe centerline options select Specify Width button then in the dropdown select Draw to outer walls. Then on the Display tab in the Plan view direction make sure the pipe centerline is visible and set the linetype you want for it.

the answer was hidden in plain sight. that works great except for some reason it doesn't mask at the inlet like the pipe walls do.

I remember it not making the centerline when I used 2015 but I now use 2018 and it works in that version.

I'm using 2015 with a very similar pipe style and all the pipe line work is masking at the structure limits.   My structure styles have 'Enable Part Masking' selected on the Plan tab of the style.

my pipe walls mask just not the centerline. if i change the width of the centerline back to no width, it masks fine.
