Pipe networks. Structures (manholes) created using Inventor. Civil 3D structure properties. Barrel height always NULL.

Structures created using Inventor, either custom or native autodesk, always expose a Null barrel height when viewing them at Civil 3D Structure properties.

I tried getting its value through an expression (for labels) but also Null it was.

Barrel height is always sketched correctly but always exposed as Null property and labels show ??? for barrel height.

Anybody else having this problem ?

Any solution ?

I have found lots and lots of issues for both Part Builder and Inventor-IPE created structures but i also have found a workaround for all of them. But i can not find a workaround for this issue. I have spend endless time learning and finding workarounds and i have hit a wall. So frustrating!

This issue makes Inventor created structures, containing a barrel, literally useless!

Previous posts about other issues regarding Inventor & IPE & Civil 3D were never answered from adesk so i try the mention @lim.wendy

One last thought for a possible workaround that failed too.

I downloaded the source code for the SnoopDatabase (SnoopCivil3Ddb) and recompiled it for the current Net Framework.

By the way i added at the Visual Studio project a reference to Pipe Network and checked all the exposed properties. No Barrel Height. I guess i had nothing more to expect but i continued.

I ran the SnoopDB and checked Structure properties for structures made of PartBuilder and Inventor. None of them exposed the Barrel Height.

I give up.

It is all up to autodesk's will to do something about it.
