pipe leaders?

does anyone know if there is a way to change the leader location. I would like for the leader to point to the outside of the pipe and not the center because when printing you can not see the tip of the leader because the pipe is on top of it.
I know that you can change the location up and down the pipe but i am talking about form the center to the outer walls.

Adjust how far off the center the label should be I raised mine to 0.05 on the Y just to get it off of the pipe.

That's the hard way.

Go to the Label Style Composer.
click on the Dragged State Tab
Expand the Dragged State Components
Go down to leader attachment
Select Top of topline or Bottom of Bottom Line

The only down fall to this is that in plan it will usually decide which line is top and which is bottom on it's own making it a pain if you want it on the other side. and in profile the same thing can happen from time to time.

they may have fixed this in 2008.

Actually tried your way, that's the hardway as it doens't look right.

Did it my way and now i have a permanent style to never change again and it worked with both a left justified and a right justified leader set.
