Hi Guys,

I am currently creating a pipe label style to include the pipe name (F4.005,F4.006 etc), diameter of pipe, length (centre to centre), gradient of the pipe and the material used. if anyone has one they could share would be great and save a lot of time but would be grateful for tips or headsup.

Hi @itsnathanblake ,

What version of Civil 3D? If you're 2017 or below, you won't be able to read a file created with a current version of Civil 3D.

Paste the following into the text component editor and it should be pretty close to what you've asked for.  (you may need to tweak it for your units and desired precision)

<[Name(CP)]> <[Pipe Inner Diameter or Width(Uin|P0|RN|AP|GC|UN|Sn|OF)]>" <[2D Length - Center to Center(Uft|P0|RN|AP|GC|UN|Sn|OF)]> L.F. <[Pipe Slope(FP|P2|RN|AP|GC|UN|Sn|OF)]> <[Material(CP)]>

.."just got to play with the text offset now."

If you are referring to stack state are you aware of the dragged state text width setting? You can actually have the entire text syntax on one line and force it's display using this setting. Only works for dragged-state text styles. ALSO ony problem I have with using this setting is if you are a middle-of-top-line leader text style kind of person this moves the leader to the middle of the text. This has been an issue for every release I can remember.
