PARTS BUILDER

I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to turn my parts builder dialog box back on.  I closed it, and have not discovered a command to restore it.  I can go into parts builder, but it only shows me the drawing of the part, not the dialog box that usually appears to the left.  I am lost without that dialog box!  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Caleb

If you haven't already done so, try exiting Civil 3d and re launch part builder.

This is the only way I've found to restore the "content builder dialog".

To clarify, you are talking about this dialog?

I can close it on mine and it reappears each time, so I'm guessing yours is off the screen somehow.

Interestingly, I moved mine "off the screen", and then restarted C3D and it comes back to the default location the next time I launch Part Builder.....

Actually, I closed it by clicking on the x at the upper right corner.
It stayed on my screen even after I closed the part builder drawing, so
I closed it to get it off my screen. Now, when I start part builder
again, it doesn't come up with the part builder drawing.

Thanks for your response,

Caleb,

That's exactly how I tested it, clicked the red X.

Mine will not reappear either without completely shutting down Civil 3D and relaunching the program.

After the restart, the dialog is back in it's default location on left of screen in part builder.

I did the restart of the program yesterday and it still didn't bring it
up for me. Is there a way to turn that box on with a command, or button
on the menu?

Not that I'm aware of.

If nobody has a solution here to restore the dialog, then I would try a Reset of User Settings .

Please be aware that this will reset things to default and customizations will be lost.

Did the same thing (closed the content builder by clicking the X) the other day and went into panic mode afterwards trying to retrieve it, only to discover that an exit and restart C3D brings it back.

Ok. That's interesting. The content builder stays up after I close the
part builder dwg. I right clicked and said to hide it, but now I can't
figure a way to restore it.
