Parcel Labeling both sides/lengths of a parcel line in C3d 2008

I'm sure this is a common issue and I'm going to sound dumb here, but I'm having a heck of a time finding a solution to this.

I have a project boundary that includes parcel lines within it. The boundary also contains some of the parcel lines. Is there a way to label the length of the parcel line segments but also label the entire length of the boundary line? What I'm talking about is like a T intersection. Where the cross of the T would be the boundary line, and the vertical line would be the parcel line that splits it. When labeling it, the left and right sections of the T become two lengths. I need to label the entire length of the cross line as well.

Since it's hard to explain with words, here's a screenshot.

Thanks!

1. Use the Span Labels that are
provided.

2.  If they are on the same side as you are
showing, flip it.  They will not work on the side with other parcel
lines.

Where can I find span labels? Is this a label style or in a drop-down menu somewhere?

EDIT: Ah, found it in the label styles editor. Thanks!

Personally, I would rather snap a continuous
polyline on a NO-Plot Layer around the entire tract and use it to label the
periphery.

That's what I was thinking.

Yeah, I agree with you there. However, the span option is quite handy for those adjacent parcels that have a lot line shared between the two. For boundaries, I'll stick with polylines.

Thanks again for the help.

I am having problems finding the span labels, where exactly did you find them?

The spanned label is very useful when labeling lots; however, we rarely use it on the boundary. Instead we put the boundary in it's own site and use the multiple segment option when labeling the boundary.
