Parcel Area Settings

I am working with an old tutorial file in order to dived a parcel in lots with the same areas. I am opening the parcel creation tools, and after selecting the original area -clicking in its label- I give the parameters of start and final points of the frontage etc. Besides, I check the settings of the Parcel Layout tools and what I got is several lots but with different area.

How is possible to divide an piece of land with lots of the same area? What should I do with the other parameters like minimum front page, frontage offset etc?

In advance thanks for your answer.

I am sending a .png file that show the screen that I got in the process

Regards

I haven't used the parcel layout tools since running thru the tutorials.  However, I would say that parameters such as lot frontage, if there isn't a minimum to be held, could be set to a low enough value that the lot area would be the first minimum parameter to be met when creating a new parcel.

ralph,

If I understand your question correctly, you are trying to divide a parcel into equal areas. There is no parcel setting for this. You must create an object with equal areas first then turn them into parcels. There is no default command to divide an area into equal parts though. You will need a LISP routine or an Addon. Hope this helps.

If the plan was to make equally sized lot areas from an original lot, then the minimum lot area could be set to an area equal to the original lot divided by the number of intended lots. All other minimums set to small values such that they would never be met before the lot area.
