Osnaps won't work on corridors items

When I try and add plan notes and dimensions to the plan sheets  the osnaps will not work on the corridor items. It doesn't matter if I am in paper or modelspace.

The sheets were created through plan production tools and are data linked.

Have you tried extracting the object in question or create a corridor lable for it?

What I am wanting to do is add a dimension string perp. to the centerline of the corridor. in paper space so that I can show the width of the roadway in relationship to the right of way. Depending on the project we sometimes show a dimension for the width of entrance curb for drives or parking entrances. parallel to the alignment.

I can not snap to anything with the dimension  commands or the leader commands.

I should not have to add feature lines that muck up the files with duplicate elements just so that I can add the above items. This problem has persisted since 2011 maybe sooner and they still have not fixed it. Why ?  What's your excuse autocad Let's hear it.

OSNAPS don’t work on many c3d objects but maybe you can try .xy perp enter 0 for z
Thank you

Set OSNAPZ to 1 before performing the command.

Typing "osnapz 1". Did not work.

Can someone from Autodesk chime in and explained why this has not been fixed?

You are placing the cadd operators at big disadvantage by not fixing this so they add the required plan/construction notes.

Autodesk can you respond to this thread?

I'm resurrecting this thread just to emphasize another one of the headaches and frustrations that come with using corridors for grading. Inevitably you are going to be using featurelines to fill in the gaps, nooks and crannies that corridors don't handle well. Those FL need to snap to the edges of the corridor. Can't do it. You have to resort to construction lines or other workarounds.

Using corridors for grading SUX.

I don't understand the can't do part of your post. I snap FLs to corridors everyday. Its how I "fill in the gaps, nooks and crannies" mostly with corridor targeting.

Near snaps work. End point snaps? Can you snap to the end points of a dead end corridor? I am not extracting featurelines.

I just show/display the top level FLs (not extracted) in the corridor and I can end snap snap to them. I can also snap to corridor lines at assembly insertion stations. To make sure I have the elevations right I switch to one of the preset isometric views. If I have to FLs sharing end points I have to move all but one to the side (set rebuild to manual) then move one and reattach the others. It takes some getting used to but can be done and works well, sort of.

I'll check my code set. Thanks for the tip.

After all these years this topic finally has a solution. It's all about the code set.
