Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro continues to evolve, introducing powerful new capabilities that enhance collaboration and design management in the cloud. With the latest Civil Tools release in ACC, Civil 3D users can now navigate designs, take precise measurements, and conduct model inquiries—all within the cloud, without needing to open the drawing in the authoring tool.

Join our Technical Specialists as they demonstrate how these new Civil Tools empower both Civil 3D and non-Civil 3D users to perform comprehensive design reviews directly in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

This webinar is essential for Design Technology Managers, CAD Managers, Project Managers, designers, owners, and advanced users looking to optimize Civil 3D workflows. Topics include:

  • New Civil Tools & Enhanced DWG Review Capabilities in ACC – Access DWG files directly in the Docs viewer, track position with stationing information, cut geometry perpendicular to alignments, and perform model inquiries with advanced measurement tools, including coordinates and station-offset distances.
  • Enhanced Sheet Set Manager for Web Updates – Streamlined workflows for managing Civil 3D Sheet Sets in ACC.
  • DWG Migration for Docs Updates – Improved tools for managing and migrating DWG files within ACC.
  • Data Shortcut API in ACC – Expanded automation and management capabilities for Civil 3D data shortcuts.

Don't miss this opportunity to see how the latest Civil Tools in ACC are transforming collaboration and design review for Civil 3D projects.

Still can't use Civil 3D on ACC with Sheet Set Manager for the Web because C3D hasn't been updated to use SSM for the web. And this is with C3D 2026.

Edit:

Screenshot showing that the Create Sheets dialog only uses the cached version of the DST while on ACC. None of the C3D tools work directly with SSM for the Web.

Sheet Set Manager for the Web also has an internal PDFSHX=1 variable set, so all SHX fonts become comments in a PDF that's published from SSM-W. Autodesk has been made aware of this defect for almost a year, but it's still going on. The only way around is to use the legacy SSM (SSMDETECTMODE=OFF) and publish using the older SSM.

What I gathered from the updated Civil Tool in ACC:

  • Only works with alignment & profiles.
  • Only works if everything is in one drawing, which is opposite of best practices for C3D use.
  • Doesn't work with model space, so a layout must be created that has a viewport of a 3d view of the model space.
  • All objects must have a model style setup in order to be viewed.

I don't see many people going to the trouble to make a specific sheet setup that contains every model element in it along with every style setup just for 3d viewing on ACC. It's a neat idea, but the amount of setup with minimal useful features doesn't seem to make sense to do.
