Offset polyine by distance AND elevation (Stepped offset?)

Hi there. I haven't been able to find anything online or in the forums for this... but it would be great to have the ability to offset a 2D polyline by a distance and elevation when creating/manipulating contour lines, similar to the stepped offset command for feature lines.

Is there capability to do this that I'm missing, or is a LISP the best way to accomplish this?

So, that's the function I want, but I would like to start with a 2D PLine, then offset that an elevation and distance (i.e. offset 6' horizontal and 2' vertical when grading a 3:1 slope) to create a new PLine rather than a new Feature Line.

You can do it with a polyline. After you select which side to offset, you can enter the elevation, grade, or difference. The new offset remains a polyline, not a featureline.

Would you look at that. Thanks. I'm disappointed in myself that I never even tried that command on a PLine. Thanks for the help!
