maybe I'm not understanding your question, but to get the offset profile, you have to have a design profile already created within your parent alignment. If you create the offset alignment, with no design profile in the parent alignment, it wont create an offset alignment profile, even if you create a profile later. It is one of the annoyances I have with the Offset Alignment/profile workflow. One of the others is that it can loose sync if you adjust the parent alignment stationing, which forces you to delete and recreate your offset alignment if you want to update the offset alignment profile. Not a bad thing, other than when it is referenced in other things like corridors, it then breaks them and causes things to need to be redone. I kind of have abandoned using the Offset Alignment/Profile workflow because of this reason.
