We are upgrading from civil 3d 2012 to 2014 but we can't find the program after the upload.

A Civil 3D folder is installed in Windows 7 but the desktop shortcut is not showing up after installation.

Where is the application file located in Windows directory to start up the program?

Is it in the bin folder?

More info-

There is an ACAD application file under the Civil 3D folder but when you open it there is no Civil 3D workspace.

Did you look in the windows start>programs>autodesk menu area?

There are parameters that go with starting up Acad.exe to get C3D to run, you can't just double click the exe file.

The shortcut link has properties like the following: (this is for 2015, I don't have 2014 installed anymore).

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\acad.exe" /ld "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\\AecBase.dbx" /p "<<C3D_Imperial>>" /product "C3D
