need help with a structure label in profile view

I am attaching an image to see if this question is any clearer!  I have a label style for structures in a profile view.  The label displays the correct information, but it is nowhere near the location of my structure.  The top grip is on the structure, but the actual label is way below it. I can't figure how to get it to come in on the structure. Hope this image helps. ThanksCapture.JPG

In AutoCAD properties there should be the distance the label is below the anchor listed there. Change it and should move to the new location. I'd also check the settings to see if the value is there.

Also, go into your edit label style dialogue box. Under "component name" choose Line. The Start Anchor Point for the line should be "Label Location". If it's "Structure dimension" it will put your labels as you show them now.

thanks guys....it still is not working, but i did discover this:  Notice in the new attached image, that there is a "fixed" option listed in the dwg properties, and there is also a "graph view bottom" option. The latter is what I would like my default to be, but I can't find where to set it that way in my label style definition. Any ideas? ThanksImage2.jpg

My labels all show fixed too...doesn't affect the position. Any way you could send a file over so we can take a look at it?

In settings for "Pipe Network" - edit feature settings.  There is "Default Profile Label Placement"  You can change it there.

Try this and see if it helps:

Settings Tab of Toolspace > Rt. Click on Pipe Network > Edit Feature Settings > Default Profile Label Placement > Dimension Anchor Option for Structures >

Above

To test the change, be sure to add a new label, as labels already placed will not dynamically update & must be changed in properties as others have mentioned.

Sounds like your's might be set to Fixed.

If this works & you always see this issue, then be sure to update the template you're using, so it's set every time a new dwg is created.
