Multiple Section View problem

When I create multiple section views and use the "Follow a section" for the elevation range it creates section well below the source I select for it to follow. Any ideas what is causing this?

Greetings,

Thank you for your recent forum post.  My name is Sean and I am more than happy to help you with this issue. I see you are using AutoCAD Civil 3D and when you create cross sections your settings are not being applied as expected. I do apologize for the inconvenience associate with this issue and I am more than happy to help. Could you provide a drawing and or screen-shot showing this issue?

I have subscribed to the thread though and will continue to monitor it should you need additional assistance. If you would like to communicate directly, you may do so at any time by sending me a private message in the forum.

The first thing I would check is in your Section View Style.  Make sure that your "Below Datum:" value is set at what you want in the "Grid padding (major grids) as shown in the image below.

If that does not work, you may have a subassembly that is attaching itself to a surface or a profile that is well outside of the area you are trying to establish.

I personally always use Automatic in the "Elevation Range" instead of the "Follow a section option" and set my Below Datum: grid padding in the section view to 0.000
