Multiple scales in Model Space

I am designing a road. I need to work in 3 views, plan view/corridor, profile view & cross sections, (all in model space) so I can tweak the design. My plan and profile view annotations are readable at 20 scale. The cross section views and annotations need to be at 5 scale to be readable due to the size of the cross sections. So how can I display my plan and profile at 20 scale and my sections at 5 scale? I don't want to go through my section view styles to  reduce all those text heights, offsets and scale settings to make them display at 5 scale when the LTSCALE is at 20.

We have a base dwt and a xsec dwt.

The differences between them are MS scales and the H / V scales on section view style graph tab.

Then the corridor file is xrefed into the xs dwg and other c3d objects are data referenced.

Working with 3 model space views in the corridor file works well during design for displaying the plan,
profile and cross sections (in section editor). Station tracker can also be utilized in the corridor file.

If everything is in one file, it becomes very cumbersome IMO, dealing with the ever changing scale issues.

I need to view the sections as I design the road profile so I can raise or lower the road to make it fit the existing terrain. I've tried working with the sections in a separate file but it is a cumbersome workflow to keep it synchronized to every little tweak I make to the profile. Also using the corridor section editor is a pain for zooming and panning to different parts of a section as I'm sure you know. It is so much better to pan and zoom through a grid of section views.

Make a cross section label / view style with a smaller text size .03 worked for me

Did you not have to change the text height, offset distances, etc. throughout the entire style?

I did not get too neurotic about it since it was a style for working in the multi view ports only.

Neil,

Tweaking the View/Edit Options on View Tools tab within section editor and the code set style assigned in  view/edit corridor sections dialog may also help.
