Multi Leader Requires Associated Object

Multi Leader Requires Associated Object

I have a new problem that just started this week. I have a multi leader style that we use to annotate our production plans. We have been using this style for maybe 8 years with only a few minor modifications to the associated block for the tag number. Up until this past week we could use this style with the annotation monitor set to 'on' and never saw the error badge (exclamation point in the box) requiring an associated object. We created drawings from the same dwt that we use for our production plan sheets. The first drawing was just created and shows the proper functioning of the multi leader. The second drawing was created 3 months ago and was working correctly until this week. when the required object association badge raised its ugly little head. Since both drawings started with the exact dwt and the second worked correctly until recently, I am making the wild assumption that there is a sysvar or other setting in the first drawing that has been changed. Here is the link to the Screencast:

Any reasonable help would be graciously accepted.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I needed to get this project out the door for review and bids. Attached is a stripped down dwg exhibiting the problem. It is a 2019 C3D format. Hope it helps shed some light on my noggin scratching!

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for posting the file!

Your ANNOMONITOR system variable is currently set to 2. My guess is that it was originally set to -2, and then someting was updated which switched it to 2. If you want the yellow warnings permanently off, set this variable to 0. More information can be found in the help here.

All the best,
Winston

Hello Winston,

Thanks for your help. I wish I could tell you for certain when the -2 became a 2! I did not even think to look at ANNOMONITOR setting to see if it had changed. Those pesky system settings. Once set you forget! Went through the whole sheet set and xrefs and every last drawing associated project had been changed from -2 to 2. Simple to reset rather than redraw! Thanks again for all your help.
