Modifying parts in Pipe Networks

I have been starting into Pipe networks and have figured out how to do some changes, but have ran into a few issues.  I was trying to recreate the WV Type B Inlet, which is attached if you're curious. I started with the "Rectangular Structure Slab Top Rectangular Frame".  I modified a few properties, but couldn't find how to change two things:

1) The structure has a minimum cover depth of something like 1.75'.  The Type B has a minimum cover of 4 inches, so in my profiles, all my shallow inlets are sticking a foot out of the ground unless I explode them.

2) The interior width can be 18" or 24".  The Type B has an interior width of 20"

Does anyone know how to modify these two details?  Thanks!

First I would always back up your part catalog, or create a copy of the one you are changing rather than changing the original, the answers to what you are trying to change are below;

  1. There are two settings you need to change, the minimum values for both the 'rim to sump height' and 'barrel pipe clearance' these set the minimum depth from cover level to the pipe that the structure needs to achieve, hence why is sticks out the ground
  2. You need to add an additional size to the 'internal structure width' or internal structure diameter' for 20"

Hope that makes sense

Thanks, that lets me know what I want to change, which led me to seeing that I couldn't edit those factors in the parts list, which led me to google searches that lead me to the Part Builder. The Part Builder stuff is all new to me, I'll look through it when I have time.  And I'll be very careful to create backups.

Thanks for pointing me the right direction.

Sorry I thought you were already in the part builder. This is where the structures and pipe sizes are configured and where you can add additional sizes etc.

This video will help you with the basics of it;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6VLGLYR670

and some more information here;

once you have made the changes you will need to do a partcatalogregen

you may also need to re add the parts to your parts list if you have already created the model to force through the changes
