Model does not render

I'm having issues with rendering. Sometimes only have of my model renders or at times none of it renders. I found that if I zoom out, I get better results than if I'm zoomed in tight. Any ideas why this is happening? I would think that it would not matter what zoom ratio that I'm at for rendering. I'm new at this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

a picture is worth a thousand words. try posting a screen shot png of what your seeing. Also describe how you are going about rendering and what you are rendering.

good luck,

looks to me like your trying to render your corridor model. Wouldn't it be better to render just your surface triangles created from the top surface of the corridor model? Well not limited to the top surface. but i'd make any part of the corridor model a surface, then turn off the corridor layers and render just the surface.

Someone else may have some tips to rendering the corridor, but I've never been able to do it that way.

Good luck,

Dan

there are actually pretty good tools for rendering your corridor model based on code sets. the thing is, if you are seeing the underneath part of a corridor, i am not sure what would happen.

BTW this is an awesome project! i'm so impressed with your overpasses!

First off, your Rending is cool. I am amazed...

its just as easy to do what Dan is talking about with Code Sets in 08. you can make a code set that has Render Materials On and the Corridor Links and Feature Lines Off.

WOW!!!

Amazing work Rick.

Dana, as for the underside of the corridor I would bet that Ove's tutorial
would help address any display issues.
