Lately my processor has been spiking. I had attributed it to working with Project wise but this happened with only Drawing1 open. What to look for? Windows is set for best performance and the specs are shown

yes but it is a slow crawl back down. I usually kill the process to get back.
Yes for sure. I just waited on one as I am posting. seems like if I kill autosave I am better off. Although sometimes it will spike if I grab a civi3d object randomly

We have basically stopped using Autosave. It causes more problems than what it solves. We have adopted the strategy of "save early; save often". CTRL+S is your friend.
