Manual point creation

When Creating points manually, next to the center of the crosshairs is a small box that displays the description I'm typing in, or the previous description, and the elevation I'm assigning.  That box has disappeared.  How do I get it back?

Try the F12 key on your keyboard.

When do I hit it?  I tried before and during, and nothing happened.

The F12 key is what I use to switch from data entry at the cursor to data entry at the command line.

Frankly I despise the data entry at my cursor.

I get neither.  I only see what I entered after the point is created.  What happened and how do I get it back?

Hi @drericka,   Try setting your DYNMODE variable to 3.

It magically returned on its own.  Thanks for the suggestions.

You can also turn the setting on and off with DSETTINGS command and on the Dynamic Input tab select the Enable Dimension Input where possible box.

I believe this is a bug and it been around for a few releases. It will also appear when you use the alignment or parcel tools
