Hello! I had to apply the command "regen" on my drawing's layout, when I finally make it fit on the layout, and press print, the preview is completely different from the layout, just as if I did not apply the command "regen"
Please, help me
What settings are you using on the plot dialogue?
Can you post a screen shot of the layout, the plot dialogue and the print preview?
The settings you have in the plot dialogue can drastically change the way the print preview and the print turns out. Getting the settings right can sometimes take a fair bit of trial and error.
You are using a metric template and your plotting settings indicate an imperial size sheet, ANSI A (8.50 x 11.00 Inches). This is not considered a 'best practice' for plotting.
How you answer will determine the most efficient workflow to achieve resolution.

Is there a reason why your Paper size indicates, ANSI A (8.50 x 11.00 Inches)? Make your paper size like this:
In your uploaded image (refer to post 3 of this thread), your paper size dimensions are not consistent with the thumbnail preview.

Yes, because I was printing in letter paper. Anyways I tried the one you told me, but still not working ☹️
In modelspace, are you drawing in meters? Or Feet?
If you are drawing in meters, then copy all modelspace entities to your clipboard. Open a brand new drawing using the out-of-the-box template named No template - Metric then paste the contents of you clipboard. Go to layout tab and try again.

Yes I am. I already did, but still not working. I don't know what's happenig, I did save the document as a pdf couple of times, but I had to do some changes and then it was not working
The other detail is that if I try to print it from de "model" as a window, it works. Maybe that info can help too.
I'm not sure, but I also think the problem can be related to the "regen" option because everytime I change the scale of the drawing at layout properties, the drawing itself fits perfectly, but the labels get really small or really big and that's when I use the "regen"command to fix the size, and it gets fixed, but when I open the printing preview, labels keep the original size before I apply "regen"
Whin in modelspace are drawing in meters or feet?
Go to your command line and type dwgunits, then ENTER. What does it say on the command line for 'Unit of length <??>
Take a screenshot of the number enclosed in brackets then upload it.
Chicagolooper
Sorry not that. On command line type in dwgunts, then enter, a number will appear indicating Units of length. What is the number on the command line enclosed by brackets. Take a screen shot of the command line.

If I do that my drawing becomes a mess on the layout, and thats the part where I have to apply "regen"
OK. In modelspace, select an alignment label=>right click=>Select Edit Alignment Labels. Next, do this:
Next, make modelspace drawing units = Viewport scale (see post 16 of this thread).

I'm not an expert on this, so I have my concerns. Now the printing works, I can see everthig, but If I make both scales the same, the drawing does not fit on the layout, look the scales I have to use, is that supposed to happen? And also, by making the text that size, I can't read it neither on the modelspace or on the layout, is there a solution?. Anyways now, one problem is solved, thank you so much.
The printing preview, looks good. Everything is perfect sized, not like this.
