I'm running Civil 3D 2024 on Windows 11 Pro (22H2). Normally when I'm working in C3D I have my Layer Properties Manager docked to the right side of the screen and set it to automatically hide. At least 50% of the time that I start up Civil 3D, and I use it on a daily basis, the Layer Properties Manager shows up inside of what I think is a toolbar position at the top of the drawing screen. When it shows up there I cannot do anything with it when I try to close it, access the settings, toggle auto hide or physically try and drag it to another area on the screen. Even when I click into the Customize User Interface dialog box I can't do anything with it. It doesn't even show up in the list of palettes for my customized workspace.

My only solution is to close the program and wait for it to start back up and hopefully the problem disappears.  I have dealt with this for much too long. It also happened to me with C3D 2023 & 2022.

I've had this issue in the past, with all releases of C3D 2020 and newer. I have not seen it in quite a while, not sure what changed in my system that caused it to stop occurring. I was pretty sure I'd made a post about it here but I'm unable to locate it.

So I guess this reply is merely to let you know you aren't alone in having that issue. Sorry. If I remember what changed here I will get back to you.

Thanks for your reply and sympathy. I'm not getting any more responses in this forum. I'll post a solution if I find one!
