Label Stack

I have to make a font change to a large # of my labels, and I see this issue in a few of my labels.

This is fairly easy to fix, but I would like to define these using the Stack / Unstack button so I can have that generate the horizontal line.  I also don't have trouble with labels created this way.

However I can't get that to work with a blank second line.  Anybody know a trick for this?  Link to the help section on this: Autodesk Civil 3D Help | To Add Stacked Characters to Label Styles | Autodesk

Maybe use a space on the second line.

For the blank line try holding the ALT key and type 0160, it will leave a blank space as text.

Non-breaking space ALT 0160 was my first try after a normal space. That will produce this:

There isn't a tilde anywhere in my style, but in stacked context it displays the space (only a space, no other content) as a ~.  I tried regular space, non-breaking space, I even tried the U+2000 and other spaces. They all produce something like above.

I thought I would post here and see if somebody has a funky workaround for this.
