Label manipulation questions

Not overly familiar with labels.  I have learned things on my own, but wondering if I am missing anything.

First question. After rotating multiple labels and markers, let just say 10 need to be reset, is there a way to reset all of them at once?  Any fancy routines out there to do so?  Sometimes the labels get dragged and rotated (because people don't know what they are doing) and we would want to reset them and rotate the label and marker together.

Second question.  Is there a way if there are a couple different labels with different screen rotations that they can be changed to all the same rotation.  I have included an image. There are labels that are slanted and ones that are straight across the screen.  I need them all to be slanted the same way.  While I can eyeball and guess...I would prefer not to do that.

Third question. Is there a way after all labels and markers have been rotated, be locked into place?  For some reason if the dwg file gets handed to another person/department some labels reset or don't stay the way the last person moved/rotated them, especially if labels and markers are moved/dragged.

Thanks

Within the label style you can set the rotation of the label text, this would be at some "standard" angle and then you would adjust the x and y position to accommodate the look your trying to achieve

From prospector select the Points heading and right-click there you can lock all points (makers). There is also a label pin option, not sure which one would serve you best.

You have definitely answered the 3rd question and was that a very easy solution so thank you for that.

I can reset individual labels, but not more than one at a time which if there are a lot of them, gets pretty annoying to do. The way I have been doing it for individual labels (even if multiple are gripped) is selecting the label - right click - choose 'Reset all'.  Still only resets the one label that I choose that option from.  I was hoping to be able to do multiple at one time since I run into that situation often.

I have also been in the label style to create the same rotation of the labels. Was just wondering if there was any 'select similar' type thing that we could match rotation to.  If we bring in multiple drawing files, I am guessing that is why the labels are in different rotations.  But changing the setting should work, but not easily understandable for all that open these drawing files.

Hi @kzD1219   you can select as many points as you want and then on the properties palette look for label rotation and marker rotation.  Set them to 0  and it will reset to the rotation defined in the styles. You can use the same method to set them at any rotation you want all at once.

Great, those are all easy solutions.  Silly I didn't look at the properties dialog box before for the rotation thing.  That will be a huge help for sure.

Now just trying to get the rotated/moved points reset all at once instead of individually.  Like I said before, I can select as many as I want, but as soon as I select 'Reset all' it only resets the one that the drop-down menu came from.

But thanks for the very helpful solutions!!

This may depend on what your right click customization is but if I select multiple points and just right mouse click instead of hovering over a grip I get a shortcut menu with reset label as an option. This resets all selected labels at once.

edit:  It will reset the moved labels location

Hmmm...all greyed out when I select them.  Wonder what kind of setting needs to be changed.

On mine it only works if the label has been dragged from the point location. It is greyed out if the label has just been rotated.

Yes I see that now. Just unfortunate since most of the time we rotate the labels and not drag them.

Selecting all the points and changing label rotation to 0 on the properties palette will reset them all at once. O sets it back to the rotation defined in the label style. It will then read *property not set* indicating its using the styles rotation.
