Hi guys,
I've had a reoccurring problem since I ever started using Civil 3D, its not a problem that makes it unusable but nethertheless its incredibly annoying and im wondering if im doing something wrong.
When I produce an alignment with a kerb sub assembly, Civil 3D tends to struggle to triangulate it properly in certain locations. This problem gets particularly bad when the back of the kerb is meant triangulate to the back of another kerb adjacent in a road island or median. I can resolve this problem by swapping the triangles around, but this is a time consuming job and can sometimes can get pretty frustrating.
I've included two screen shots showing a scheme im working on where I have a central road island, on the northern and western edge of the island the kerb triangulation are being shown correctly, however on the east channel the triangulation is completely wrong, as you can see on the screen shots the triangulation is no built in a way that gives a defined back of kerb.
I hope there is a solution to this rather than just manually go through each triangle and swap them round until they display correctly
