Issue With Swap Parts Dialogue

Has anybody run into the issue where you can't swap part sizes in a pipe network? No luck with swapping pipes or structures, just a blank dialogue box that pops up. See attached for screenshotswap part dialogue.PNG

Make sure C3D points to the correct parts catalog. In the ribbon, under create design click the drop down, set pipe network catalog. In the popup dialog, set the folder to your catalog folder and then select the appropriate metric or imperial catalogs, pipe and structure. The folder will be "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2022\enu\Pipes Catalog" with the version appropriate to your version

Thanks for the help, still no luck unfortunately... How do I determine which structure/pipe catalog corresponds to the part list that I used to build the pipe network?

Do you work in imperial or metric? It should correspond to those. If you think it may be crossed referenced it will only take a few minutes to check and see which available catalog is appropriate.

Imperial, but just to check all avenues I swapped the catalog to metric and tried to swap parts, still no luck. Any other ideas?

Can you show how you set the part catalogue? And show what is available in your parts list?

I set the part catalog through the create design panel in the toolbar. Then browsed to "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2020\enu\Pipes Catalog\". Selected US imperial for both (tried metric catalog as well)

Verify there are no other parts list in the drawing.

Try creating a new network with the current parts list and catalog and check if you can swap a part.

Try creating a new parts list, then create a new network and check part swap.

If you still can not swap parts  a installation repair (or reinstall) seems indicated.

Verified there are no other part lists in the drawing. When I created a new pipe network I was able to swap parts out

Just some advice, do not use civil3ds default pipe catalogue. If I were you I would copy a new catalog and place it in your company standards directory. This will alleviate stress when you try and create a new part for larger trench drains and what not.

Makes sure the pipe network isn't data referenced.

Try merging the current network to a new network.

That did it! I merged to a new network and am allowed to swap parts now. Thanks for the help
