Issue with "To Create Drawing Views from AutoCAD 3D Models"

I am trying to use this command to create 3-views of objects.

Here is what the instruction page says to do:

Here is what I get when I follow the first instruction:

Notice there is no "Base drop-down" option

What am I missing?

I have tried from Civil3D & Drafting modules, but 3D Modeling is the only ribbon I have that even has view on the home tab.

You must have 3D Solid Objects, not Civil 3D Objects, in order for that option to work.

If you're trying to display a TIN Surface, you can _ExportSurfaceToSolid to create a 3D Solid Object, which can be used in the _ViewBase command.

It was a solid. I finally found where the command REALLY is on the ribbon... incomplete instructions with the missing first step, as what seems usual for Autodesk.

Thanks.
