Insert a block into a Point Table cell?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to insert a block into a Point Table cell.  I would like to add a symbol to the title of the table.  I want to keep the table associative so I don't want to explode it or anything like that.  Does anyone know of a way or a workaround?

Thanks.

Hi @DawnAW

There are no ability to insert Blocks in Civil 3D Tables, but you might be able to get a close enough Webdings symbol from the label composer!

However, you are able to insert blocks in AutoCAD table cells! with the new Project Explorer extension for Civil 3D, we can now create a Dynamic AutoCAD Table containing Civil 3D object data, (which you can then add a block to the AutoCAD table cell)

Hope this helps,

Not with C3D tables. But, some possible work arounds and real solutions.

if you can create a font using a representation of the block as character you could use that font for the block 'character'.

Just place the block in the proper place manually.

Use a utility  to export to a csv, data link csv to a cad table (almost dynamic) and handle the table title in cad.

I think the closest I can get to what I want and keeping it dynamic is using the symbols.  Webdings did not have anything close enough but I found another font that did.  I am modifying my block a bit to get it closer to the symbol.  Thank you very much for al the replies!
