Hello world!
I have generated a fair amount of layouts (25) and I wish to renumber some attributes in the block used in the layouts, generated from a sheet set. I have tried different "add-ins" but I can't get them to what I wish for.
The block is a drawing frame where I wish the first layout is numbered 1, the second layout 2 etc. in one of the attribute field (incremental).
Does it make sense to you? Anyone got a solution out there? I don't want to spend another minute browsing each layout and change these numbers that needs to be changed.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Feels like we're closer a solution for me now! I have already generated the layouts so how do I batch insert that kind of field into all of the blocks in all of the layouts? Also - is there a way to get the next sheet number aswell?
Though I realized I don't get a "CurrentSheetNumber" when I chose it. What could be the reason?
Is the block located in paperspace?
Is this tab part of a sheet set with a sheet number entered for each sheet?
The 'next sheet number' is a little more tricky. In the field you'll enter a formula, in the formula you'll then enter the field for the current sheet number and then +1 as the formula. (a field in a field with some math) Right click in the formula window and choose Field from the menu to enter a field into the formula.
Thank you very much! I've sorted the sheet number, hadn't updated where it should look for layouts.
Though I can't spread the formula through out the document, I manage to get it right for each layout seperately but when I use GATTE to apply the expression to all the blocks in all layouts it doesn't work, I end up with a simple "+1" in the formula. I will mark your previous answers as Solutions and also thank you already for all the help!
I can't get the expression to work for the field containing the formula so that's still a loose end.
Delete all the blocks in each layout except the first. Make the changes you need to the attribute. Once its working, insert a new instance of the block into each layout. Or you can use copy base with 0,0 as the base and then paste with 0,0 as the base in to each layout. Which ever feels quickest to you.
That could be a solution but that requires me to move to each layout which I would like to avoid this time. Next time I start this process I will surely keep track of these attributes.
We have our template drawings with these blocks already inserted with the attributes already setup with fields to the SSM properties. When a tab is added to a SSM the values populate automatically.
Not sure if an insert and redefine of the block will bring attribute values with it.
