Increasing offset alignment radius on a curve or widening an offset alignment

Hi all, I want to do a road widening along a curve using the offset alignments, my offset alignments are offset 3m from the centerline  but  I want to increase the outer radius from the center line by 1 m

I had thought of the following options but I cant implement them successfully

1) Increasing the radius of the outer offset alignment. I cant find the option to do so.

2) Is there an option of targeting offset alignment.

How do I go about it I want to target that cyan polyline on road 1

Hi @tonderaitmaworera, after creating the offset alignments. Select the alignment you want to be widened, and then select Add Widening; Civil 3D will ask you for the beginning of the widening and the end. Select the stations according to what you want and the new width for the lane (Your actual lane width + widening width(1m)). And that's all. When finished, Civil 3D automatically will draw the widening with the new radius.

After that, if you want to change anything, select the offset alignment that has the widening and then the offset parameters button in the ribbon, there you can change a lot of things related to transitions and so on. My regards!

For the outer radius, I wouldn't use a widening. Widenings are often placed in the inner part of the curve. You can work with the polylines and convert them further in offset alignments if you want. For this, use the alignment from objects option.

When building corridors, you can target alignments, feature lines, polylines, and survey figures. Set in the Set Width or Offset Target window as appropriate, and that's all. See the image. My regards have a good day.
