IMX IMPORT CIVIL 3D

Good afternoon,

I found an error at IMX import in Civil 3d. It cannot import the IMX previously exported from Infraworks. I've been looking for in another posts but nothing about it. Please find attached the picture where yu will see this mistake:

Error al importar el archivo IMX. Excepción desconocida = Error importing the IMX file. Exception not known.

We would be grateful if you could help us on this.

Note: could be an error in some files in Infrawroks as i have tried the same process with a Infraworks basic model (without orthophotos nor levels curves, etc) and the error didn't happen.

I can mark some critical points:

1. At usually a lot of problem in openning IW's file in Civil 3D deal with incorrect coordinate system (but at that step you must get error in window of command "ImportAIWModel")

2. As I saw in screen, you used Civil 3D 2020, but IMX version of IW 2.13 (second string after initialisation of command) - but with IW 2020 I have version 2.17

3. At third and other strings I see User's definition of XML file "NEW1.xml" - changing data between IW and Civil 3D, and you wrote " i have tried the same process with a Infraworks basic model (without orthophotos nor levels curves, etc) and the error didn't happen." so - may be that data files, that you tried included into IW were unselected in your NEW1.xml. Try to return standard XML file (such as standard files in screen) and check problem.

If it don't help you - can you record small video or serial of pictures or attach problem file?.....

Many thanks. First and third points were checked and they are not the problem. I used same coordinates system and XML files includes all items of the IMX.

Regarding second point, i will try to correspond versions (i will try to use IW 2020 to export it into Civil3D 2020 or IW 2019 with Civil3D 2019) . I will get back to you if some of these works.

Good afternoon,

I think it is a problem of Civil 3D 2020 version. 

From Civil 3D 2019 to IW 2019 works perfect. But from Civil 3D 2020 to IW 2020 doesn't.

Now my problem is resolved but it is likely Civil 3D 2020 version has some problem in the IMX import.
