Importing special points into civil 3D

Hi,

Can I import some special points (other than regular major and minor station intervals, geometry points) on to alignment and annotate related information and exact the design levels using Civil 3D. I can do it in Bentley Rail Track (BRT). Is it some kind of tool available in Civil 3D? Please suggest in this regards.

Hi,

Annotate--- Add Labels--- Alignment-- Station/Offset 

You can label(which  include info on station, N,E etc. ) any station on an alignment by following the path above.

Thank you for your response. The link which you have suggested is related to extracting point report which are adjacent to the alignment. But, my requirement is to annotate and extract some special points other than major and minor stations and geometry points. The attached image may illustrate better.

The best thing to do is that you need to create a text file with points according stations with their description which you need to appear on label. Better if you can use  a separate point group. You may not need to add the station values to description because you can annotate it through a custom label style.

Yeah..!!  I can create a text file with related data like station locations where needed and descriptions. I can edit label styles with custom label style. But how can I import that text file into alignment. Whether I need to crate a point group related to that text document or I can directly import onto alignment.
