I'm running Civil 3D 2015 on Windows 10, and am trying to copy the settings from my computer at work (running Win7). Now in 7 you were able to go to the start menu and go to the desired program and "export" a zip file (which I have). But all the knowledge desk help say to do the same thing but select "import". But I don't see that option in the Win10 start menu. Knowledge desk says this,
In Windows, utilities for importing and exporting AutoCAD settings are in the Start menu:
Start > All Programs > Autodesk > AutoCAD 20xx > Migrate Custom Settings
You have two options:
Import AutoCAD 20xx Settings. Lets you pick the ZIP directly without extracting or locating files within it. Use this option to import the settings into a new or existing installation of AutoCAD on either the same or a different computer. This is useful if something happens to your user interface in AutoCAD and you need to restore it.
But I don't see the migrate custom settings option, or any option at all other than to open the program. Am I missing something?
I give you a alternative:
I'm using the cloud to sync my settings.
This presents may more advantages no need to export import anything. Your settings will be forever available to you on any PC.
