Import Civil 3D project 2014 - Internal Error AECC_PROFILE

We have a surface drawing with four data shortcuts of surfaces. When we import the Civil 3D project that contains this drawing and its four data shortcuts, we get an internal error: Undo Filing Failed for Class: AECC_PROFILE.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Import the Civil 3D project in to what? Into 2016?

Have you tried opening the drawing in 2014 and doing an Audit or bring it in using Recover? You might also want to Recover the drawing containing the profile.

Are you importing your project into Vault? Have you tried Allan's suggestions of running recovery on those drawings? I'd suggest you start with children files and make your way towards parent drawing and then see if it let's you import. It would be also helpful if you could zip up your project and post it here.
