How to save a Note label style?

Hi,
I often need to add grid coordinates to drawings. As this is becoming more frequent, I had a root around Google and discovered that I could set up a note label style to add an easting or northing to any point I click on. (Annotation - add labels.)
This is great, but I can't find a way to save it so that new dwgs list it as an available style. I have to create new styles for every new dwg.

I tried setting up the style and saving the dwg as a template file, but it doesn't work - a new dwg from that template still only has the default label style and not the easting and northing styles that I ceated.

How can I get these styles saved so that I don't have to redo them from scratch every time I need a labelled grid?

If you created the style and saved that drawing as a template - .dwt - then created a new drawing from the template, that style should be there. That is the whole idea of having a template. I do not know why it didn't work for you. Make sure that you arechoosing the correct .dwt. Note that if you use the New button on the quick access menu at the top (QNEW) it uses the template specified in OPTIONS, Files>Template Settings>Default Template File Name for QNEW.

But, there are several ways to get styles from one dwg/dwt to another. On the riboon, Manage>Styles>Import allows you to do this, but there could be hundreds of styles so it can be complicated. Inserting the drawing that has the style as a block, exploding, into the drawing that does not have the style works.

The easiest way might be to open both drawings. Then, on the Toolspace Settings tab, at the very top, make sure it is set to Master View (not Active Drawing View). Set the drawing with the missing style as the active drawing using the drawing name tabs at the top of the drawing area. Then, in the Toolspace Settings tab, use the "tree" to find the style in the good drawing that you want to transfer. Click it once to highlight it, then drag and drop it into the active drawing. Done.

It is a lot harder to describe than it is to do!

Yes, the wrong template was loading. I checked it all and made sure the right one loads and the styles are coming  through, thanks.
