How to draw a 3D Polyline in a point cloud in side view to match top view?

Hello,

I'm extracting a bridge in side view with a 3D polyline. I created two views, and when I switch to the TOP view my line is too far away from the actual object and does not align. How can i accomplish to draw in two different views and have them match?

Hi @Anonymous 

You can use the 3D Osnapsto ensure you are snapining to specific nodes on the point cloud.

It doesn't help and it is not even close to what I need. I have two views and when I draw in side view, on the top view it does not correspond. This is an issue with the UCS and I can't figure it out, so if I draw on one side to make sure it is the same side on the other view.

try using 3DORBIT to get a view that ensures you are snapping to the right points.

It is not related to 3D Snaps!!!!! It is related to the UCS on both views. They have to be setup right in order for you to draw in side view and top view and for them to appear at the same location. I have done it in the past.

Dainel, I think you're not getting the answer you are seeking because we aren't understanding your problem fully.  Getting upset and repeating to us that we aren't understanding is not helping.  This group has many very smart, capable experts and I'm sure someone here can help you, once your problem is better understood. 

Perhaps if you post your drawing, someone will be able to better understand what you are trying to do and why it is not working.  

Also, it sounds like this *has* worked for you in the past, you mention "setting up the UCS correctly".  Can you not go back to one of those old drawings and recover what you did in that old drawing to make it work?
