How to create two pplyline from one

Hello,

I would like to know how to break a polyline (straight line say 100' long) into two separate polyline with the first one being say 50' and a gap of 30' and the other polyline 20'.

If someone has the steps to do this I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi,

I recomend you to use one of many lisp routines that you can find on the web.

For example you could check this one: (I use it quite often)

https://autocadtips1.com/2011/09/24/autolisp-break-at-distance/

also those related (the same link below the lisp code), maybe it will be helpfull.

Chris,

That looks like a handy lisp. Thank you.
