how to create a simple location map.please help!

Hi. Im a beginner in using a autocad civil 3d, please help me. I want to create atleast simple location map. I dunno how to start. Please help me. Or atleast a link of video tutorial.. Thanks a lot

By Location Map do you mean an insert that shows the location of a project?

i actually need to create a layout of a resort, a map of a resort. i have
here autocad 2013-english in my laptop but i guess its better to create my
project in civil3d but i dunno how to start. please help! i attached here
example of resort i want to create. thank you!!!

The simplest would be open google map take a screenshot and paste

If you mean Key map of your resort, for me, block out your alignment to a separate file “key map” xref attach and scale down to your border.

As alignment updates block out to key map

Have GIS for your area? Map import streets and build and follow key map idea
