How do I drape 2d object to a 3D solid object?

The above lane consists of a polyline with width value and hatch

Roads are made of 3D solid objects, not flat.

I would appreciate it if you could give me a detailed answer

you can only drape it onto a surface. Create a surface from your corridor and drape it onlt the surface using the Feature line command.

Hi,

 

i don't fully understand your question, but looking at your image. If you are trying to drape 2d road linework and hatches onto a 3d surface. You need to break it all down into separate shape files by layer in cad, it will keep your polyline widths and colours i think. Load your 3D surface or corridor into infra-works. Make sure your co-ordinates are the same, region etc. Drape your shapefiles over the surface there, raise it like 10mm above the surface. Export it. You can bring it into civil or navisworks now. I havent done this in awhile, so there may be a more updated way to do this
