go to model and with the toolspace settings tab set the scale of the drawing.

Save a view of you model widowing the part you want in the vport.

poke a hole in the vport and restore the view you saved.  type : ZOOM>>scale>>> 1/<scale value>XP

some version were prone to crash using the task bar

Images are nice but the dwg file will speed up the process of trouble shooting. Not fully understanding what didn't work because we are not full understanding what the issue is.

I'm guessing the text size in you bands and profile labels are too large?

1. are the style set to size them to a plot height?

2. is the view scale and the plotted height definition not appropriate for the data content?

The dwg file is large and could take a while to upload.

the maximum text size that I have in the drawing is 4mm . My layout paper size is ISO A0. it should fit perfectly. I didn't understand what you mean with

(1. are the style set to size them to a plot height?

2. is the view scale and the plotted height definition not appropriate for the data content?)

The only thing I can think of is to check the viewport scale again, make sure UCSFollow is off and lock the viewport. If you do a Regenall in paperspace do the labels look normal?

You may want to check the properties of the viewport and verify that the Annotation Scale and Standard Scale are the same.
