hide 2d objects with elevations and global cut plane

I want to merge all levels of one plane in the same drawing and paste them as a block in different levels, but I want to hide the blocks by elevation using a global cut plane.

PD: all blocks are 2d objects.

Cut planes are not so often used in Civil 3D, but they do exist. This is a native feature to AutoCAD Architecture, so all the documentation online will be relating to that, but all the same functionality is available in Civil 3D. On your status bar you should see the cut plan icon. Or perhaps go to you status bar customization icon (the hamburger button in the far right) and check mark it to add in the status bar. Once you click it, you can define the elevation range that you want to see, this effectively assigns the global cut plane applied to the entire model space 

if you type the command DISPLAYMANAGER you get access to creating custom configurations as well, which architects use to apply to viewports for different levels in a building. I personally assigned different configurations for when designing an bridge overpass.

I was playing with the global cut plane, I found that just works with 3d objects (MvParts) but I can not configure him for works with 2d objects. if you can share with me some about that issue, please tell me. I did not find anything on the entire internet.

Hello again,

Yes my apologies, I just realized the cut planes only apply to Civil 3d and AutoCAD Architecture objects. The Cut plane does not have an effect on vanilla AutoCAD objects. The reason is that when you go into the DISPLAYMANAGER there are Architecture and Civil 3D object listed only, therefore it does not apply to AutoCAD 2D Objects!

I know that your question is regarding 2D Objects, but if you ever have a need to apply a cut plane to Civil 3D Objects you will need to check mark one setting for it to work per the screen capture below!

hope someone on the community forum can think of a clever workaround. I am thinking Xclip and playing around with the clipdepth might be a possibility, but you'd have to make your entire drawing a block first!

Reading back your original question, instead of copy and paste; why don't you xref in the drawing and apply an xclip. I have prepared a short demonstration screencast if you're interested!
