Hi everyone,
I’m an intern currently working with Civil 3D 2026 to create topographical maps for various measurement sites. In each site, I’m using masks (not surfaces) to show the point data, which is the red + in the drawing.
The problem comes up when I need to export a DWG to a DXF format:
I’ve been using EXPORTTOAUTOCAD, but when I do, the point symbols explode into individual line segments. They’re no longer recognized as proper points or COGO points—just raw geometry.
The firm is needed DXF to use another program that requires that formatting, and it won’t recognize these exploded point graphics. Is there any way to export from Civil 3D to DXF without losing the point data or having it explode into lines?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thank you!
